Zhu Weida, Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited, Visits Djibouti for Inspection and Conducts On-site Safety Checks

04-07-2026

From December 16 to 18, 2025, Zhu Weida, Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Port Holdings Company Limited, led a delegation to Djibouti for a special inspection tour. The team visited key China Merchants Port projects on the ground, including the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone, the CMHD bonded logistics park, and the Doraleh Multipurpose Port (DMP), conducting on-site inspections focused on production safety and the operation of equipment and facilities. These efforts aimed to further tighten the "safety valve" for the stable operation of overseas projects.

During the visit, Zhu Weida also delivered a safety management training session for expatriate Chinese staff of China Merchants Port, helping enhance the safety management awareness and capabilities of frontline personnel, especially those in critical positions. He emphasized that production safety, risk prevention and control, and compliant operations must always be prioritized, with a constant sense of responsibility to safeguard the red lines of overseas operational safety—making safety the “lifeline” of project development and compliance the “hard support” for business advancement.
