On the afternoon of December 4, 2025, Li Shichu, Deputy General Manager of Sinotrans Limited, led a delegation to conduct a site visit to the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone (hereinafter referred to as the “Free Zone”). The delegation inspected key projects including the Free Zone itself and the China Merchants Djibouti Free Trade Zone Logistics Park (CMHD), and held discussions with representatives from the Africa Office of China Merchants Group, International Djibouti Industrial Parks Operation FZCO, the CMHD Logistics Park, and project teams from China Merchants Port’s PDSA/DMP projects.

Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on further strengthening business synergies among China Merchants’ projects in Djibouti, accelerating the integration of services within the Free Zone, and enhancing the “connectivity” capabilities of Sinotrans Djibouti Company.

Li Shichu expressed his recognition of the Free Zone’s operational achievements in 2025 as well as the outcomes of business collaboration between the two sides. He noted that Sinotrans Djibouti Company should, on the existing foundation, further strengthen coordination and cooperation with the Free Zone, CMHD, DMP, and other China Merchants Port projects in Djibouti, placing greater emphasis on port–zone linkage, corridor connectivity, and deeper integrated collaboration.

At the same time, he expressed the hope that the Group’s Africa representative office and China Merchants Port’s projects in Djibouti would continue to enhance their support and empowerment for Sinotrans Djibouti Company. By working closely together and leveraging synergies, all parties can promote the high-quality and steady development of China Merchants’ projects in Djibouti and contribute greater value to improving the region’s comprehensive logistics service capabilities.
