Holding the Overseas Safety Bottom Line | IDIPO Convenes Risk Prevention and Control Deployment Meeting

04-07-2026

On December 4, 2025, the Chinese management team of International Djibouti Industrial Parks Operation FZCO convened a meeting to deploy overseas operational risk prevention and control measures. The meeting first conveyed the key directives from the overseas risk prevention and control deployment meeting held by China Merchants Group at the end of November. It emphasized that risk prevention, control, and compliant operations must always be prioritized, firmly adhering to principles such as avoiding high-risk regions, refraining from involvement in gray areas, strictly complying with the laws and regulations of Djibouti, respecting local customs, and actively implementing the Group and port headquarters’ important instructions on overseas “penetrative management.” Efforts should be made to strengthen three key lines of defense: political security, operational security, and personal safety.

Following the meeting, the Chief Representative of China Merchants Group Africa communicated the relevant directives to various project segments of the Group in Djibouti, requiring all units to uphold bottom-line thinking, safeguard the red lines of overseas operational safety, and continuously promote the steady and positive development of China Merchants’ Djibouti projects.
