To fully implement the deployment of China Merchants Port Group for the 2025 Fire Safety Publicity Month, and to effectively advance the theme of “Fire Safety for All, Life First · Safe Use of Fire and Electricity,” further enhancing employees’ fire safety awareness and disaster prevention capabilities while deepening the development of a fire safety culture, International Djibouti Industrial Parks Operation FZCO organized an annual practical fire drill on the morning of November 27 at the KAF warehouse in the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone.
With alarms suddenly sounding and lights flashing, the simulated fire scenario officially kicked off the drill. The SSD safety team, together with Jun’an, PSD, and other participating units, quickly assembled. Each stage was executed in close coordination and against the clock: on-site personnel immediately used fire extinguishers to suppress the initial fire and called for reinforcement; PSD security forces promptly responded and deployed water to control the fire; the automatic fire water cannon accurately targeted and suppressed the flames; and fire trucks rushed to the scene to carry out cooling operations, forming a solid defensive line.
The entire drill was conducted in a fast-paced and highly coordinated manner, comprehensively testing the joint response capability of multiple teams and the practicality and effectiveness of emergency procedures for large-span warehouse fire scenarios. It also provided a strong demonstration for enhancing safety management and emergency response capacity within the park.

During the Fire Safety Publicity Month, IDIPO carried out a series of coordinated activities. Fire safety training focused on ensuring that employees “know how to use fire extinguishers and how to report a fire.” Public awareness campaigns, including poster displays, promoted key concepts such as the “Four Understandings, Four Abilities, and Three Reminders.” Safety inspections targeted critical areas, including the use of fire and electricity, electrical wiring, and evacuation routes.
Through training, employees gained clear awareness and practical skills; through publicity, safety concepts were firmly embedded in both mind and action; and through inspections, potential hazards were thoroughly identified and eliminated. These efforts continuously fostered a strong safety culture where everyone participates and prevention is practiced everywhere.

The sustained advancement of the Fire Safety Publicity Month, together with the focused validation through practical drills, has injected new momentum into fire safety management across the park. IDIPO will take this as an opportunity to further strengthen the development of a fire safety culture, improve the emergency response system, and uphold higher standards in safeguarding the park’s operational safety, thereby providing solid assurance for building a safe and harmonious free trade zone environment.
