IDIPO’s June 25 Safety and Emergency Coordination Activities

07-14-2025

In response to the deployment of the 2025 “Work Safety Month” campaign by the CMHK and CMPort, IDIPO organized a series of key safety activities on June 25, focusing on safety promotion, emergency drills, and hazard management to effectively improve the safety management level within the Free Trade Zone.

Firstly, IDIPO held a safety-themed promotion session for employees from both China and Djibouti. CEO Alex Qian delivered specific instructions addressing political, operational, and personal safety concerns. Harvey Zhang gave a themed speech titled “Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response-Identify Safety Hazards Around You”. All attendees watched the official 2025 Work Safety Month promotional video to unify understanding and enhance awareness.

Subsequently, IDIPO also partnered with the Djibouti International Hotel to conduct a joint fire emergency drill. The drill covered fire alarm response, evacuation guidance, hands-on fire extinguishing, simulated rescue, and smoke helmet usage. All members cooperated closely, executing the drill efficiently and in an orderly manner. This comprehensively tested the effectiveness of the emergency plan and significantly improved coordinated emergency response capabilities.

Finally, a targeted safety inspection was conducted, focusing on the Energy Center, pump rooms, and storage yards. Several hazards were identified, and rectification measures with deadlines were deployed, ensuring the safety management cycle is fully implemented.

Through these activities, IDIPO has further reinforced the concept of “preventing accidents at the source,” strengthened safety responsibility among all personnel, and provided strong support for the safe operation of the DIFTZ.
